ジェーン・レルフ（Jane Relf）の活動が俯瞰できるベスト盤「Jane's Renaissance Complete Collection 1969-1995」がリリースされました。初CD化（曲・テイク）は、ジェーン・レルフのソロシングル「Without a Song from You」とそのB面「Make My Time Pass By」と同じくソロで非売品シングルの「Gone Fishing」、ルネッサンス「Carpet of the Sun」のデモの計4曲ようです（シングル「Without a Song from You」の2曲はブート「OFF SHOOTS」で聴けましたが）。
ジェーン・レルフの魅力はルネッサンスの2枚とイリュージョンの3枚でほぼ語りつくせてしまうわけで、80年以降の作品に70年代をしのぐものはないと思うのですが、それでもありそうでなかった切り口なので、ファンならずとも持っていたい一枚です。オフィシャルCD化初のシングル曲の出来も結構良いので、その意味でもオススメではあります。多くの人が、ルネッサンスやイリュージョンの作品は持っている前提とすれば、そこからどれが選ばれるかはあまり意味がないかもしれませんが、超名曲「Madonna Blue」「Isadora」をあえてはずした意味がちょっとよくわかりません（メドレーとして収録されてはいますが）。あと、せっかく80年代以降の曲も収録する意図をもっていながら、ジム・マッカーティ（Jim McCarty）のソロアルバムの曲が1曲も収録されていないのもやや不可思議な気もします。
